Back to the start Ijmuiden
Up early to sneak out of Koln. Betsy was very careful to avoid the police. Don’t want to get a fine. As soon as she hit the autobahn she was safe. It was a gray start to the day but by the time we stopped to get Betsy a big drink of diesel at Kaldenkirchen. Soon we were off again leaving Germany behind. Betsy was quite tired when stopped off for some food at Ijmuiden.
We all got fishies and chips at the wee shops before the ferry port, they were yummy. Since we were here and had plenty of time we went to explore the port. The port was quite busy. Lots of weird looking boats.
Dad look that’s the types of boats I know, I definitely recognise the smell. Fishees!
Time to get back to Betsy and go through customs. Dad was a bit more relaxed this year. “I think your paper work is all right Poppy”,he said. Last year Mum and Dad were very worried about the paperwork!
On the other side we were the last ones to board the ferry. Another holiday is over.
