Ullapool Sleepover
Up early today, I went for a walk along the lochside. It’s brighter today eh dad? “No time to hang about poppy, we have a lot of miles to cover today” said dad.
Back at Betsy we packed up ready for the off.
Dad was not wrong, first we passed through Fort William, then we rolled by Ben Nevis going up the Great Glen coming out on the banks of Loch Ness. “Keep a look out for the monster Poppy” said dad. Monster? Monster in there? Your having a laugh dad. Never saw anything. Inverness came and went as Betsy headed further away from the towns and cities. I know where we are going, Were going to Ullapool. I have been here twice before. Sure enough Ullapool. Betsy pulled into have a big drink of diesel before finding a place to rest.
Camp set up we headed into town for dinner. On the way in I met one of my older cousins called Jock he was 14 years old. Looking good for 14 old dog. We walked across the front to a pub. Mum this is the same pub where we ate the last time we were here? “Yes Poppy” said mum, Good. The Fishees are great in this pub.
Fed and watered we wondered back to Betsy. “Early night Poppy” big day ahead.
A big boat sailed past, look dad, look at the size of the boat! “It will look even bigger tomorrow poppy”
