Nashville
Hi Tink, today we explored Nashville. First, we walked down to the Gulch where mum got her photo taken beside a wall.
We were heading downtown and on the way I saw an old pickup truck. Americans love their pickups.
We were going to the Museum of Country Music, it was quite interesting but you wouldn’t be allowed in. Americans buy a lot of country music records.
We thought it would be a good idea to see the city from the river so we crossed a big bridge to get a better view. You would like this because you could be off leash.
Some of the buildings at the waterfront were quite old.
Mum wanted to go to the Jonny Cash Museum, It was very busy. Jonny made a lot of records too.
After we went for a walk we went up Broadway to see the cowboy boot shops. Nashville is famous for them.
At the top we tried to find the Ryman Theatre because we were going there tomorrow night. It was very close to Legends Corner.
We thought it would be a good idea to see some more of the city so we jumped a trolly bus.
This is the state capitol building, you would love the park that’s in front of it.
We got off at the Marathon Motor Works. Remember that TV program that I watch in the morning, American Pickers? This is where their Nashville store is. They never had a lot of smalls!
A hundred years ago Nashville had a big fair and to show off they built a replica of the Parthenon. Its just like the real thing except fixed!
We got off the trolley back at the Gulch, I wanted to look at the records in Urban Outfitters, I was also looking for a new pair of Levi’s. They had nothing I wanted but saw this as we were leaving.
Well, being in Nashville we really had to check out a honkytonk. They are just pubs with live music. I also tried seltzer, not as good as beer!
We thought it would be a good idea to check out legends corner before getting a cab back up the road.
