German Corner Koblenz
Betsy was full of beans when she woke up and soon she was back on the autobahn heading north. It was rainy then sunny then rainy then Mr Sun decided to stick around. After a wee while Betsy left the autobahn and rolled into Koblenz. It was big modern city, why we coming here? She stopped off at a Lidl to get supplies. Time to go to camp. She took us to a dodgy part of town and then went into an industrial estate, it didn’t look good. I started to doubt if this was a good idea when we passed two police cars pulling some peoplesees over and searching them. Never good when they have their lights on. There was a que to get into camp but once we got in I was very happy, it’s alright here Mum.
Mum asked Betsy to move about a bit. She didn’t want to, she was tiered and as far as she was concerned where she was was fine. Back and forwards, “this OK?” she asked. “No a bit more that way” said Mum. Betsy was not too impressed, she scratched her head squeezing under a tree. Poor Betsy. It was late afternoon by the time camp was fully set up.
I went for an explore of camp with Dad. Camp was nice, places to play and always something to look at.
Across the water was a big statue of an old German king on a horse. Mmmm its miles away, that must be some size of statue.

We lazed about into early evening when suddenly I could here music. Where is that coming from? I sniffed about, nope no idea. I looked at Dad. “I think it’s coming from the castle Poppy” he said. If it is it must be deafening for the peoplesees up there.
The music ended as the sun started to get ready for bed.
When he was asleep the castle lit up and made sparkles on the river just like fairy lights.
Even in the dark the old king kept his eye on us from his horse, I gave him a quite growl, well don’t want to wake the neighbours.
I think Betsy has forgiven us, she snoozed away as Sister Moon came out, mmm bed time
