We left Betsy and walked through the camp, today we are having breakfasts at the Salt Water Café, it was great last year yum. Mum went to the strange hut where poppys aren’t allowed, hurry up Mum, I’m starving!

We crossed the fields and got to the café dad picked a table and mum went in to order. Mum was not happy when she came out, we missed breakfast by five minutes. Oh well said dad we can have breakfast in Seahouses. A quick walk and we were on the beach walking to Seahouses. Mmmm Beach, dad? “Ok Poppy, ball it is” said dad.

We played and played, beaches are fun but we missed breakfast and Seahouses is miles away

This beach has the impassable Annstead Burn at the end of it so we had to find a bridge, a couple of peoplesees showed us a path through the dunes to the bridge. It came out at the main road next to the golf course. We crossed the bridge passed the golf course and followed the public path back down to the sea. The tide was out and I noticed we could get to the gunpowder house, mum? Can we?

After lots of fun climbing it was time to go into town for breakfasts. Well nowhere sold breakfasts. We looked everywhere. I looked up at mum and dad, it will have to be fishees and chips then. We went back to Neptune Fish and soon we were sitting on “The Rescue” statue tucking in. After lunch we wondered back the way we came when I noticed another statue, this one was of me!

Mum looked at the mouth of the Annstead Burn, “I think we can cross that and save us going the long way round” she said. Aye mum, remember yesterday? This time she was right we were soon on the other side.

The sound from the waves crashing was very loud. I got to chase them, I love chasing the kelpies.

At the end of the beach instead of climbing up to road we followed the beach through the village. At the very end was a path that led up to the road to the kilns. That was lucky eh dad? Soon we were back in Betsy.
We were not in for the night though. A little later we were getting ready to go for dinner at The Beadnell Towers. I was still tired and couldn’t be bothered going out. The Beadnell Towersees is miles away.

Grrrrrrrrrrr Mum, those big rocks are breathing! Mum switched on the torch, Quick get out of here! Its Moo Beasts! We quickly got back to the neighbour camp, that was lucky. Let’s get back to Betsy.
