Poppy goes to Blackpool
Yesterday Betsy took us on a long trip to Blackpool. It was getting dark when we got here and it was wet. Betsy stopped outside a chippy and Mum and Dad got some goodies for dinner. We sat in Betsy as dad got tore into a roll and sausage me and mum had fish and chips. Me? Wasn’t in the mood. I had a funny tummy all day.
Next day the sky was still crying. By the time we got to the tram I was absolutely drenched but glad to be out of the wet.
We got a good seat on the tram dad put down his coat so I could sit on a chair and look out of the window. When the clippy came I couldn’t believe it. He charged me for riding the tram!
We were on the tram for ages. The place we were going to was Fleetwood Market. Well not much to write home about. It was just like the Barras but wee. The best bit was being out of the wet and the café al fresco in the outdoor square. Funny that we ate inside the café givin the name. Mum and Dad got two huge rolls in bacon and sausage. I got ham and bacon YUM.
At teatime Dad was watching the Rangers game but we had to leave before the end because we were going to see things called illuminations. So back down the front we went to catch another tram. Thankfully the sky had eventually stopped crying.
When we got out of the tram it was dark. All along the pavement were thousands of lights.
The sky started to cry again so we went to a tram shelter to keep dry.
Dad decided it would be better to ride the tram rather than go walking in the wet. So when the next tram trundled along we hopped on. We got off the tram at a place called Central. There was a huge tower there.
At the bottom of the tower the building was alive with moving pictures.
I was getting wet so I looked at Dad and then Mum. Can we go get dry now?
