Sicily and the Egadi Isles
HI wee yin. Got to Trapani just before midnight, expensive taxi from Palermo! Breakfast was on the roof of our hotel La Terrazza sul Porto.

We wandered about the town in the morning before getting a ferry to Favignana. We got there late in the afternoon, our home was the La Casa Dell’Arancio. Very nice. Once we settled in night had fallen and we went out for some food.

Next morning we went for a plod about the town, well we met one of your cousins at the local market.

Graffiti here was exceptional. This is on the walls of the old prison.

Every where we were walking, we kept seeing people dressed very stylishly. We plonked ourselves down at a bar in the main square and it all began to make sense. It was a wedding! They even had a band just like the one in the godfather.

After the masses had cleared we got a couple of bikes and explored the island. It is quite a nice island and bikes are a good way of exploring it, bigger than Millport.

Another day another island. Today we went island hopping over to Levanzo. The idea was to find a nice beach and go for a swim, so down to the harbour to jump a ferry.

The ferry only took about 10 minutes to speed across the waters to Levanzo. The harbour was not as pretty as some but it was nice enough.

Truth be told there was not much to the town so we set off to find a beach since we had our swimming stuff with us. On route I found another old Vespa. Do you think this one suits me Poppysocks?
It didn’t take long so we sat at a bar over looking the pier and had a few drinks till the ferry came in.
The drive to and from the park was really nice. Similar to the last park the road follows the river up and down a valley.
Back on Favignana we hired some electric bikes this time to explore the top end of the island. Electric bikes is the way to go. Hills were easy and we covered the whole top of the island in an hour.
Well the day was still young so we retraced our steps from yesterday to see the bottom of the island in the sunshine.
All in all a nice day wee yin. Just getting ready to go out for pizza after a few drinkies on our terrace. See you tomorrow.
