Post card from Montgenevre
Up early and off, we left Italy behind us and were off to France. It was really easy getting here. The slopes were quiet and the ski lifts empty. We were at the top of the mountain thirty minutes after jumping on the lift in Italy. Everything was white quiet and still. My knee was jiggered so we took it easy coming down the hill.

Montgenevre was slightly busier than Claviere but still not too busy for a weekend.

We played over here for most of the day until Mum lost her sunglasses on a chairlift. As I went back to get them BANG! A chairlift smacked into my back and knocked me off my feet, flat onto my face. It was a sore one. Time to get back to Italy before the weather turned.
Today we headed back to France. It was snowing all last night so the view from the chairlift was totally different, all the bare patches were coloured in white. What a difference a day makes.

the plan to day is to play on the other side so we had to make tracks.

The other side was nice enough but quite busy. Thats when we discovered if we went off piste we could get to a totally empty run that was closed.

Well we liked it so much we did it again and again and again.

It was time to get back To Italy for a spot of lunch. Alas the main run back was closed because of avalanche risk so we had to go all the way back down. By this time the pistes had chewed up with the fresh snow, moguls all the way back down. Not ideal with tiered legs and crocked knees. We did lunch in Italy though, just not the place we planned. Well that’s us all packed up. See you tomorrow.
