The Highs and Lows of Paris
Hi Tink, another early start. We are going back to Montmartre where we were last night. The church on the hill looks nice close up.
We wandered around the back leaving the crowds behind, it looked just as nice from the back.
Up here is the only vineyard in Paris.
Montmartre has a different vibe from the rest of Paris. More chilled.
For lunch we are going to eat at a place called Pink Mammas. We cut through the cemetery, plenty of space for you to run around in but and its but, dogs must be on the leash. How come cats are allowed off lead?
We passed by the Moulin Rouge on the way to the restaurant, its quiet during the day.
Pink Mammas was an experience. Unfortunately the food could have been great but wasn’t. Never order the first pizza after opening. The base was burned to a cinder.
Back in downtown Paris it was busy. Can’t believe the difference a day makes.
We jumped back on the metro, another different line, to get to Denfert-Rochereau for the Paris Catacombs. Poppy you would really like this, bones everywhere.
The tunnels went on for miles. There are more than six million sculls down here.
Back in the daylight the sky was blue so we thought we would go back to Galeries Lafayette Haussmann for the views. The tower looked good.
I think that Paris has poor air quality, its still hazy even on a nice crisp winter’s day like today.
Well Poppy we are back at the hotel and signing off. Dinner tonight is at Le Jacobin, two metro lines away. Will see you tomorrow.
