Portobello And Edinburger
Bags being ferried into Blue my cushion into blue? Adventures. Mmm wonder where we off to. Blue headed East onto the big road to Edinburgh. She didn’t go in she skirted south. Mabey Englandshire again? She took us somewhere I have never been before, a place called Portobello. It was right on a beach, well that suits Poppys.
It was cold and windy on the beach can’t see mum and dad staying out here for long.
Eventualy Mr Sun came out to say hello, even with Mr Suns help, Mr Wind was in charge today. I spotted a path that could take us off the beach, Look mum you can get off over there.
After a plod up the high street to get a feel for the place we went back down the front to grab a bite to eat. We chose a place called Miros. Well the waiter was very unfriendly, I think he should reconsider his job path. Anyway he did bring me some water. Food was quite good, I liked dad’s bacon.
We walked back along the prom to get back to Blue.
Back in Blue she took us to the centre of Edinburger. We got out and went to explore. I have never been at this bit of Edinburger before. I found a path and followed it down to a river, Nice here dad, good to be off leash.
I followed the river downstream to a place called Dean’s Village.
Here I could get really close to the water. Peoplesees took my Picture.
Dean’s Village is quite pretty. It’s a lot quieter than the rest of Edinburger. It had lots of peoplesees from different parts of the world, I don’t think they have seen Poppys in the wild before.
We followed the river for a bit but then turned back, we had a hotel to find. Still it didn’t stop me from exploring and chasing new smells. It’s what Poppys do after all.
Eventually we left the riverside and came up at the Gallery of Modern Art. Dad took us a short cut back to Blue through Dean’s Cemetery. It was great I got to chase squirlees and everything.
The fun came to an end when two parkees started shouting at us. The were very angry, Poppys are not allowed in this Cemetery, weirdos. Blue managed to find the hotel. It was very Posh. It was called The Intercontinental George Hotel. Poppys approve, comfy bed. We settled in and got ready for dinner. Dinner was great. It was in a place called Badger & Co. Good food and a nice carpet to lie on.
We sauntered along rose street and took in the last of the Christmas Lights before bed. Today was a good day.
