Run to the prosecco hills
Betsy left Venice and stopped into a Eurospin for supplies. All stocked up she headed into the countryside. The first place she stopped was a town called Conegliano. We all jumped out and went to explore.
Conegliano was quite small but it had better shops than Shawlands.
Look dad a scooter like your horrible smelly thing.
I followed my nose into the back streets. Mum why is there a metal person on the street and mores the point what is here wearing?
Having seen all there was to see it was time to leave. There were vineyards everywhere. Miles after miles after miles of them.
Betsy started to climb. When we got into a town called Valdobbiadene. She found a very precarious place to rest, but it was all there was.
We got out to explore.
Well Valdobbiadene was even smaller than Conegliano. There was only a very impressive church, a few houses, a café and for some reason a bike shop.
We didn’t stay long as we still had to find our camp. The road went high up into the hills and through lots of small villages and vineyards
Betsy came into a town called Follina and pulled into a very strange campsite called La Dolza Ranch in the village of Valmareno. It had horses and goats. We were the only ones staying at the camp.
It wasn’t long til Betsy was all setup below the Castle Baldo.
We sat out in the sun for the rest of the afternoon. Suddenly I saw something move in the bushes. What was it? I got to the end of my leash to get a better look. Grrrrrrrrr it’s a Rabitsees. Dad let me off leash so I can chase it.
As Mr Sun got ready for bed we went out for dinner. Valmareno had two places for food. We went to Osteria A La Becasse. Mum and Dad quite liked it. Fully fed it was time to go back to Betsy. It was a long day.
