Poppy goes to Tralee Bay
Something odd was up. Dad has been a bit low for the last few days but today after he finished work he had lots of parcels to open up. Some of them where bottles so that should cheer him up. There was something else though. Two cases in the hall but more importantly a big bag stuffed with my food, tasty treats, my favourite toys, nasty onesie and most importantly my cushion. This means I’m coming too. Wonder where we are going?

Next day Mum and Dad started ferrying bags into Blue. I kept my eyes peeled and made sure my bag was packed safely in Blue’s boot. I strutted down the stairs my tail could not stop wagging as I jumped into Blue. Blue headed for the big bridge and soon we were on Loch Lomond heading north. On we went passing the Green Welly but instead of staying on the main road she pulled off to the left. Mmmmm not Glen Coe then. On we went, I had a sniff out the window. Sniff sniff sniff sniff, we are heading to Oban, that means the Islands! As we were coming into Oban Blue headed off the road and went over a bridge. I have been over this bridge before in Betsy but we are in Blue so we aren’t going camping at Benderloch. Maybe we are going to The Island of Eriska or maybe Lismore. Soon Blue stopped for a rest next to a cabin. “We’re here Poppy, home for a few days”, said Dad. I jumped out of Blue and went to explore.

Mum and dad were worrying about the weather. Don’t get me wrong Poppys don’t like the wet but look blue skys. Hurry up Mum lets go.

We left the cabin and headed towards the beach. This place had a very familiar feel about it. I defiantly haven’t been at the cabin before, but I know these smells, I have been here before. I know it.

When I got to the beach I knew exactly where I was, I was here two years ago in Betsy. Dad this is where we came before going to Eriska, are we going there next?

Then I saw it. Look Mum rocks! Lets go.

After a good walk on the beach Mum wanted to go back before the rain came. We were staying in tonight but for dinner Dad was going to the chippy for fishees and chips and sausages yum.

Next day sky was bawling her eyes out. It was very wet. We were going into Oban for lunch and maybe heading for an Island. Mum got a phone call lunch cancelled due to the weather. We went into Oban anyway to find somewhere else. We found a nice wee place for Dad’s birthday lunch. It didn’t go well everything we asked for was gone. Eventually we went for two full all day breakfasts. Suits me, bacon, yum, sausage, yum, and even better we were in the dry and warm.
The sky never cheered up. Mum I’m not exploring in this. Poppys hates wet! “OK Poppy we will head back” she said. Mmmm Good. Back at the cabin Dad decided in his ultimate stupidity that I needed to go for a walk. Aye right Dad I’m not going out in that. No good. Horrible onesie on, harness on Dad dragged me out. Well he can drag me when I’m on leash but I’m going nowhere off it.

Dad soon found the error of his ways and gave up, can we go back now? After a dry off in the cabin it was time to settle into a lazy afternoon.
Chippy tea for dinner tonight? At least you should get there and back dry Dad. Sky has stopped crying.
