Poppy goes hunting for seal monsters

Poppy goes hunting for seal monsters

We went out earlier today because Dad wanted to watch the Rangers game. Daft Dad it will only upset him We left camp and headed out to hunt for seal monsters. To hunt them first you have to walk to where they hide on the rocks. So off we went through Kildonan village and out into the open fields.

After the dodgy field, sometimes there are huge beasts in this one we went down to the shore. This part of arran is nice, little sandy cove after little sandy cove separated by fingers of rock that point into the sea. This is where the seal monsters live.

Slim pickings so we travelled further, we have been here many and Poppys knows how to find them. We had time on our paws so on the way there I went to the waterfall to have a nice drink. Yum. Lets go sealmonsters to hunt.

At the end of the bay I could smell them but just couldn’t see them. Sneaky sealmonsters must have see us. I looked out but could only see their heads bobbing above the water before slipping under again. Mmmmmm no chaseys to day then. Suppose we better go back.

After lunchtimes we headed out again this time going the other way. It is really pebbly at the start but soon changes to sand.

No ball on the beach, its been ages since mum and dad have played ball with me. Ever since my bad leg two years ago its been no ball. At the end of the bay we climbed the steps up the hill towards the castle. We have tried to get to the castle many times but never made it. This time was no different, we did get close though. The path disappears and the undergrowth takes over. Mum and dad said the view was nice, mmmm not that nice when your eyes are only a foot off the ground.

It was getting hot, I think its time to get back to Betsy for some drinkies. Back down the steps to the sandy beach. First things first cool down with a paddle at the shore. We are going out for dinner at the Kildonan Hotel, fishees! YUM!

After dinner we settled into Betsy dinner was YUM, Poppys loves the Kildonan Hotel. It was dark when I went on nighttime patrol. Dad always lets me off lead here because there are no vampire dogs on Arran. Big day tomorrow early ferry to catch.
