Poppy goes down to Kildonan
Morning patrol over Betsy roared into life and we were soon trundling down the country lanes beside the sea. First stop was Blackwaterfoot. Poppys quite likes Blackwaterfoots. Lots of smells. But the bestis smell of alls is the smells from the butchers. MmmmmMmmmm, Mum always buys lots of nice treats from there. We never stay long here, just long enough for buy food and Arran milk, dad loves that stuff. I suppose it does taste better than the stuff we have back home.
Betsy was off again. Up hills down hills and back up again. The steepest hill is the one that takes you to Lagg. She struggled down the hill and pulled over across from the Inn to have a rest. Mum and Dad decided this would be a good spot for runch. Good call I’m starving.

Runch was good. After the inn started to get busy so we decided to let Betsy rest as we went to explore. Lagg is a really nice place. Lots of great smells and even better lots of nice trails. We headed over the bridge to find them.

We followed the trail that kept beside the river, where there’s a river there’sa river mouth. The path took us through bluebell woods past a burial cairn down towards the sea.

The beach was great here in Lagg, nice sand and Mr Wind was nowhere to be seen. It was good going in for a paddle, but all good thing and that. Will come back here again.

We walked back to Betsy and were off again. She climbed out the glen, along the coast road and passed a few villages before coming back down and into Kildonan. Soon Betsy was back in her usual spot at Sealshore. It was such nice night we sat outside in the last of the sunshine till Mr Sun went to bed.

We had a nice picnic on the beach looking across the waters to Bute and Kintyre. I got some treats but most importantly hams! After a wee explore, happily nothing has changed here we started to climb the big hill at Fairy Glen. I had a good sniff about. All the years I have been coming here I have yet to get the trail of a fairy. I’m not convinced that they exist. I think its just a story to tell pups.
