Football and Food
This morning I woke up to Mr Sun shining down from blue skys. The camp was quiet but something was happening in the field next to us. Peoplesees were jumping about to music.
Today we are going to visit a castle Mum said there would be a break in the weather and we should make the most of it. When we got to the edge of the village Dad assured us that he knew which way to go. Nice one dad. When the path disappeared into the sea we had to double back.
Mums second attempt wasn’t much better. We cut through the churchyard only to find that we had to climb a wall to get out. Finaly we got to the costal path.
When we got to the castle dad found a way in through the fences. I jumped straight through a hole in wall to get inside. Dad was not impressed because he said the floor was full of broken bottles and I could cut my paw. Well lets go round the front then.
The front of the castle dropped away into the sea mum was scared in case I fell over the edge. OK mum I’ll come back. We spent a wee bit of time exploring the rest of the castle.
The weather was starting to turn, Mum decided to turn back. Poppys don’t like it when the sky cries so I was keen to get back to Betsy too.
When we got back there was a football match being played in the field next to Betsy. Dad sat on the steps of Betsy watching the match, mum played on her computer and Me? Well, I went for a nap.
We soon discovered. We had come here to book a table for dinner tomorrow and as we came up to Chip Ahoy there were lots of peoplesees queuing outside for take away fishees and chips. As soon as I walked inside I remembered the place. Mum, Dad, theres that scary witch. I’m not going in there! “Poppy you’re a big girl now, look, its not real” said Dad. Mmmm I gave it a sniff. OK maybe your right. So what about din dins tonight? “Back at Betsy” said Mum. We squeezed past the peoplesees getting their dinners and headed back.
The sun started getting ready for bed. We better hurry up we don’t want to get stuck on the path in the dark. We got to the end of the path it was good to see Pittenweem.
At the Chip Ahoy the owners gave me water and treats yum. But that was just starters, mum and dad first gave me sqidees then fishees! YUM!
When dinner was over The owners offered to give us a lift back to camp. We gladly accepted as it was pitch black outside. Soon we were back in Betsy all full and ready to settle in for the night.
